"to encourage Believers..."

This popular quartet is based in Bluffton, Ind., and its members have recorded more than 60 albums.
It was inevitable.  The three Shane brothers grew up in a singing family, and - day after day - the home stereo blared quartet music. The Blackwood Brothers, the Stamps, the Statesmen, the Kingsmen - permeated the Shane household.  Too, the brothers' formative years were spent attending church events - revivals, campmeetings and numerous youth camps.  Music, especially four-part harmony, was always included.
By 1992, Rick had already been singing professionally.  And Jeff, who had been serving in the Marines in South Carolina, had attended several gospel concerts in the South.  Some concerts featured his brother Rick, and Jeff was smitten anew. He and Rick agreed.  "We've got to sing."
So the three brothers, Rick, Jeff and Mike - natural singers with a blend that only family members can generate - enlisted their cousin to sing lead, and they began harmonizing and ministering together.
Today, the harmonies have been perfected, and the responses of audiences throughout the Midwest is gratifying.  Says Jeff, "We enjoy each other's company, and we love the message of the music.  Again, it's all about encouraging Believers."
The group appears yearly at churches, conventions, fairs, RV parks and other special events.
